Heart - 1

Her pain was known only to the room and her eyes were filled with the symbols of sorrows and that is what we called , tears. The maiden looked around and this little frame caught her attention and that sent her crying even more upon looking at his picture. "How pure." she thought when she first set her eyes on this young man who she thought was the one she was looking for all along. Maybe it's time that shows the true colours of that cunning cold man that has stabbed the hearts of many dainty ladies and now, it's her turn. This series of events happened too quickly and she was not ready to accept this fateful fact that... he is no longer the chap that was attracted to her, no longer him. His change of heart has caused the misery of her trust and the pain she was going through is no longer a basic one. That has became a cut on her heart, not a big cut, just a tiny slice across it and anyone living in this world should know even a hole in a heart may send a human down to deathsville, how ironic.

She was warned by many people she knows of that he was not the best man for her but despite their efforts, she believed in herself and the judgement of hers as she thought she was able to change this man in his bad habits and his rowdy attitude. The wakeup call happened only when she knew he was starting to fall for another girl and she still held on, thinking everything will change with perserverence, patience and trust. She was wrong. It made the distance between the two lovers further and alas, the truth even she cannot hide in her shadows.

"It's over, why am i even thinking about it" she mumbled to herself hoping that her heart would become stronger so she could go out to the battlefield to fight again, but somewhere in her heart she was still clinging on this little hope that he will return one day. She look out of the window and she started thinking about all the bad points he had. "I didnt mind. But i guess i was stupid." She thought and after much consideration and lots of crying, she gives up and with that courage, she smashed her frame.

"You're beautiful, but just another history..."

Just as she was cleaning up the pieces and about to throw them into the fireplace, a knock came about at the door. She wondered curiously as since its 1hour past midnight and its late. She left the pieces lying on the floor and wiped off her sorrows which was left seen on her face and hurried to the door to answer it. Her horror strikes as her fragile body tilted against the doorhole as she looked through it and at that moment, all her memories came back, how the young man would visit her house weekly just to accompany her sitting beside the fireplace and talking about almost anything that happened that week. Her eyes opened wide and in her heart, that cut inflicted heart pumped so hard that the cut was stretching out and bigger. She didn't know what to do at that point of time, her hesitation left her standing at the other side of ther door, frozed.

She stood there wondering if she should answer the door while that young man was "a door" away from her. Funny how it seems that a door can split a pair of lovers apart, so near, yet so far. Her senses came back after a couple of impatient knocks and when she answered it, that young man she once loved so much stood upon her. She felt happy, but something was missing. And then she realised.

They sat at the fireplace chatting and talking about anything under the sun, and it really feels like back in the past, how loving this couple was. But the awkward question strikes when he asked her to back back by his side. She sipped her tea and replied him gently as how she felt in her heart.

"My love for you died, and nothing is going to change that fact."

Moral of the story,
No matter how much you do, how much you put in,
the fact stays as it is, once hurt, never mended.
Never expect too much. Because she can leave you anytime.
It doesnt matter, it wont.
But she's trying. Trying to get the feeling back.
She didnt owe you in this relationship.
